Digital Media Convergence (capstone)

The graduating senior class works on two projects:
  1. Professional portfolios of their work.
  2. The multimedia magazine, Garde Voir Ci, where they work as a team to explore local issues in the Bayou Region. From managing editor to PR director, the students manage, coordinate and produce all multimedia content. Check out the staff and take a look at the issues below.

Hearst Award

Garde Voir Ci has placed in two Hearst Journalism Awards Team Multimedia Competition — Digital News/Enterprise category.

The spring 2021 issue about the United Houma Nation ranked 12th in 2022 Hearst Awards. And the spring 2020 issue about the lost community of Grand Bayou ranked 20th in the 2020 Hearst Awards. Nicholls was the only Louisiana school to rank in the Top 20 in both years.
